About BODE Group
BODE Group was formed for owners who were tired of being the only person who understood their whole project. In Bali a single house can pass through an architect, a contractor, several subcontractors, a joinery workshop and a supplier who has never seen the drawings. We gathered construction, interior, procurement and solar into one group so that someone besides you holds the complete picture and signs for it. When something needs an answer, there is one place to ask.
We build for people who live far from their land, want one name to call, read every line of a quote and plan for the next twenty years.
Building in Bali
BODE began as a design and build team working on homes and hospitality projects around the island, with one rule that has not changed: the people who draw the building stay with it on site.
The interior studio
Owners kept asking who would finish the inside. Bringing interior design into the group meant finishes could be planned while the structure was still on paper.
Procurement
Some clients arrived with their own contractor in mind and wanted someone to check the numbers. That advice grew into a full service for finding and vetting builders.
Solar
We began studying what the island's sun could do for the buildings we were already making, and how to explain it plainly before selling anything.

Where is BODE Group based, and where does it work?
BODE Group works from Sunset Bureau, F3 No.18, on Jl. Sunset Road No.88 in Seminyak, Kuta, Badung, and takes on projects across Bali. Owners who live overseas can follow their build remotely through written reports.
What does BODE Group do?
BODE Group brings four practices together under one name. BODE Construction designs and builds homes, villas and hospitality projects. BODE Interior plans and builds the inside of homes, villas, restaurants and offices. BODE Procurement helps owners find and compare outside contractors. BODE Solar explains what a roof in Bali can produce before anything is sold.
Can I work with only one of the practices?
Yes. Each practice can be hired on its own. When more than one is involved, they share one set of drawings and you keep a single main contact.
Does BODE handle building permits such as PBG and SLF?
BODE Construction prepares the drawings and takes them through the PBG building approval, the permit that replaced the IMB in 2021. The SLF certificate of function is planned into the schedule from the start, so the finished building is legal to occupy and to rent.
I live outside Indonesia. How would I follow my build?
Each report pairs photographs of the work with spending measured against the bill of quantities, written to be read on a phone in a few minutes. Changes are priced and agreed in writing before work goes ahead, and site visits are planned around the decisions that need you in person.
How does BODE Procurement choose contractors?
It starts with your brief. BODE Procurement shortlists contractors whose past work and capacity suit the project after checking their finances and references. Each one prices the same bill of quantities, and you choose from a plain written comparison.
Does BODE install solar panels?
BODE Solar is in its first season and currently focuses on explaining the numbers: what a roof in Bali can produce and how a system should be sized to daytime use. Buildings from BODE Construction are planned so panels can be added later without reworking the roof.
Does BODE work on existing buildings?
Yes. BODE Interior takes on fit-outs for existing homes, villas, restaurants and offices as well as new builds, and BODE Construction can look at an existing structure before renovation work is planned.
